Can anyone offer any advice please or been in a similar situation? I'm Unsure of dates as I was on the pill where U don't have periods. However I did have a 8 day bleed 11th Dec and 2day bleed 24th dec as I was hit and miss taking it. Officially stopped pill 28th Dec. had positive preg tests 22nd Jan and a clear blue digital suggested 2-3wks so 4-5. Dr had referred me off the 11th dec bleed making approx 8 weeks although I think it's only 5-6 weeks going off the later bleed.. Had an early scan last night and only a gestational sac seen 8mm no yolk sac or fetal pole!! I've been told that it's probably just because its too soon and Definately not 8 weeks pregnant more likely the 5-6 weeks. Just wanted some reassurance that a positive outcome is still a possibility as nothing else visible ?xx

My first early scan showed nothing except an empty space were baby was meant to be, I should have been almost 7 weeks (were ruling out ectopic), scan dated me at 4-5 weeks, went back 3 weeks later and all was well, now 15+3 Smile hopefully your right about your dates and just too early for you too. Will be a long wait till next scan, feels like forever but if your not bleeding/in pain etc I'd try be positive, good luck x

Not till 12 weeks although Doctor had initially referred me as tho I was 8 weeks so around another 4 weeks time. Will try wait it out and resist a private one xx

All of my early scans that were between 5-6 weeks just showed sn empty sac, with no yolk or anything...12 days later there was a little blob with a heartbeat there. Good luck! x

That's a long wait bless you but providing you don't have any symptoms to suggest things aren't going to plan, I'm sure you are just too early (well Dr is with his dates) x

I remember the panic of early pregnancy problems (I had bleeding which turned out to be a haematoma which was described to me as a blood blister). I had an early scan and it turned out I was just past 7 weeks and a little heartbeat was detected and on my scan photo it looks like a little bean!
I think if I had gone in any earlier I perhaps wouldn't have seen anything and was warned that it could of been the case.
Obviously if you do get any bad symptoms then go straight to the doctors but if not then hopefully it's a good sign! It does seem like a long wait but there are some lovely private places around if you feel like you can't resist! It would be worth it for your peace of mind if you can't get referred to the hospital for your scan any earlier.
Wishing you all the best x

I had a 6 week scan and was told the sac was empty. 10 days later I had a second scan to confirm mc - at that scan we could clearly see the "empty" sac actually had twins in it. (They are now healthy and 3yo)

Good luck and please let us know how it goes! My experience of private clinics is great. I had a scan at 16 weeks which was called a Reassurance Scan. The ladies and the atmosphere was lovely. Hopefully you have a similar experience! X
