Hi Dragonhart, are you pregnant, I'm guessing you are. I bought one similar to this, called a 'body pillow', I bought mine from Costco for only £15.00 and it made a huge difference, in fact, I still can't sleep without it and my little boy is now 2 years old, so they're highly recommended by me..

Just thought on, if you can't get to Costco, I know Mothercare sell them there, but they are expensive. p.s. Good luck in your pregnancy!

They were in Lidl's the other week for only £9.99(body pillow).I bought one new from Ebay a couple of months back that was also only £15 and it came with a choice of colour, for the pillow case which I thought was good.Must admit I've only used it a few times as it's rather large but I;m sure as I get bigger,I'll use it more.

I've just remembered, they have them in Home and Bargain too .

tchibo too at 9.00

I got one of the JL ones off Ebay, and even though I'm 38 weeks, I still find it too big, so I would see if you can borrow or get a cheap one rather than splash out...

What's worked for me (combination of tips from NCT and physio) has been sleeping on top of a duvet folded over, which definitely takes away some of the hip pain, a pillow between knees and - when things are bad - another one between ankles, and one of those little cheese-wedge pillows under the bump.

hth

LadyTophamHatt · 21/10/2006 10:20

you can get them on Ebay too Dhart.

I might invest in one too actually, we can road test them together.
Rather annoyingly I got up this morning without my hips killing me for the 1st time in weeks.
The reason??

I slept on my back for most of the night, which is exactly waht they say not to do when PG, isn't it??

Hattie05 · 22/10/2006 00:08

I'm using one of these, and did in first pg. I find it really helps, and got lots more use out of it when baby was first learning to sit.

all the ladies from due in jan sem to be here!! Used one last night for the 1st time fab got mine from local bedding shop and it was £15 with spare pillowcase

Dragonhart · 22/10/2006 12:38

Cheers all. Think I might have a look in my local mill shop as they have all weird shapped pillows-thanks for the tip!

If not will look on ebay. Would rather buy it today though. Slept for about a total of 3 hours last night due to hip pain waking me up. That and sitting worrying about all sorts of crap!

Thanks again, see all you due in Jan-ers later!
