I am 40+4 and feel like I've had enough. Would love a natural birth but booked in for cs on 10th if I haven't gone into labour by then so not long to wait but I am so uncomfortable and my poor 2.5 year old has to deal with a completely useless mum. Anyone else in the same position? Any tips for getting through the next week?

I feel your pain, I'm 40 + 9 thankfully being induced tomorrow but have found this week really tough. I am the size of a house and finding even the simplest tasks a challenge!!!

I have been taking gentle walks with the dog to get out of the house but also trying to rest.

I hope that the week flies by for you.

Xx

I got as far as 42 weeks last time. If you can manage to drag yourself swimming you'll feel miles better. The water helps take the weight off.

Thanks both. Yes I think I will go for a walk or swim in the morning while my ds is at preschool for a few hours. I wish I didn't feel so grumpy. If I ever have more children, I honestly think I will tell everyone my due date is a week or two later. I cant believe all of my family are ringing every day to ask if I've had the baby, as if I wouldn't tell them!
