I suppose my biggest worry is they don't find anything in there and I made it all up!
Anything in particular I need to mentally prepare myself for?

Lol.....i felt exactly the same. Believe u me, if pregnancy test says u are pregnant then YOU ARE! There will be a lovely little jumping bean on the screen. Even though I was really sick and ill, I still thought they wouldn't see anything. You wont stop looking at the scan picture once uv seen it. It is awesome! Xx

Both times I've genuinely thought that there'd be nothing there and I'd have to explain myself!! This time I even took a pregnancy test the day before the scan despite not having a period for 14 weeks and throwing up everyday for about 6 weeks!
I think that the only thing to mentally prepare yourself for is that the sonographer might be quite quiet whilst they're doing the scan: they're concentrating and it doesn't necessarily mean there's something wrong. I sat there thinking "SAY SOMETHING!!!" but all was wellSmile

you need to prepare yourself for your pregnancy to get more real. Once you have seen evidence that there is an actual human being growing inside on you it feels very different.

Yes, that's right. Sonographer will be very quiet and it takes quite a while to take all the measurements etc. She should tell u every now and then that everything looks fine. Xx
