I don't know if I'm clinging onto anything that might indicate that this little one is en route, but I've been feeling funny today. due on Wednesday, got cramp, shooting pains in fanjo, I feel agitated and itchy all over. I'm booked in for a.sweep on Friday but I'm an absolute wuss and don't want one, couldn't hold a bone in my body after sweep with DD, not pleasant.

What were any symptoms you had in the day or 2 before labour or is there no way to tell? Sad

I'm eagerly following this thread as I keep having twinges too and thinking 'is this it?', wondering what I should be looking out for (apart from the obvious regular contractions!)

after the period-y type pains I was having during the night I was convinced it was going to happen, it was really horrible, a bit like after I'd had the coil fitted in the past, I've still got the pains now but a lot more mild than what they were. so far I've had no show or anything either, does everybody get that? Sad

I've had mild period-type pains on and off and waves of back pain just over a week ago that made my eyes water and took my breath away. Hadn't felt anything like it before. None of this ever lasts long though and soon fizzles out. Sat in bed last night with some strong braxton hicks and period-type pains which again didn't last long Hmm

Sorry to disappoint, but for me spotting early labour signs was like trying to spot v. early pregnancy signs - i.e. futile! I went 13 days 'over' and had no real inkling things were kicking off prior to my waters breaking (in a trickle) in a museum cafe.

My mucus plug went about 4 days before that, I think, but I understand that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Hang in there. One way or another, the baby will come out eventually!

I've only ever lost my plug once and that was with #5 :)
