BFP then BFN

Last Friday at 8/9DPO ( very very early and stupid i know) I woke up feeling 'odd' and was compelled to POAS. I used FMU and the result was a feint but clear BFP. The line showed up within about 3-4 minutes and before the test had dried. I did another with SMU and I got an extremely feint, almost invisible BFP.

On Sunday I tested with FRER-FMU and got a BFN.
I bought some more tests for tomorrow but I'm not hopeful.

What has happened? Could my urine just have been more concentrated on Friday? Could it be a chemical pregnancy? I'm so confused Sad I'm such a dick for testing to early.

can u post a pic of todays test? i love looking at tests.

i think u may just be getting ur bfp it is odd to get so many falses. duno what happened with the bfns but maybe jus a case of too early or urine too dilute. tentatively excited for u.

It's possible I have my ovulation dates wrong. I got two positive OPKS about 3 days apart. As an interesting aside- I did read once that it is possible (albeit incredibly rare) to ovulate twice in one cycle with a few days in between. This is how some fraternal twins are conceived apparently but wether that is true or not I'm not sure. There was a name for it but I can't remember.

There's no point uploading a photo. You won't be able to see anything. I have to shine a light through the back to see even a hint of a line.

Its all really confusing. If I turn out not to be pregnant then I must have had a chemical pregnancy. I have taken so many of these cheap tests in my life and haven't once had a false positive/Evap line not even after the time limit.

I only have digital tests left. Do you happen to know how sensitive clear blue digitalis are? My cheapie tests are 20ml I believe.

What DPO are you now?

My clear blue digital gave me a BFN two days ahead of the day AF was due. I got a BFP on the day AF was due. I'm now 7 wks.

Try and hold on until Thursday if you can. Crossing my fingers for you.

im not entirely sure when i ovulated i think last saturday so 10 dpo. i have 6 days according to ovia before poas. i dont have any hopes for a bfp only first cycle after mmc so id be lucky lol.

This is my second cycle after a MMC.
DS was conceived in the cycle after a MC. It's perfectly possible for you to get a BFP.

I had this before a few years ago had 2 positive tests, so booked an appointment at the doctors. There I had a negative test, so she did a blood test as she thought it strange having 2 positive's then a negative. After that the doctor concluded that it was a chemical pregnancy. But said if my period hadn't arrive after a week to go back. It arrived 2days later. I then conceived DD 3month later.

Clearblue are very sensitive - i had the strips at home which remained negative until 8 weeks, but the Clearblue one showed positive at 10dpo for me

oh did u? i have been after stories like that for the last week or two. i jus think id feel so lucky to get a bfp so soon. hope i do. thank you.

strange uv got a feint bfp again tho. i think id jus have to keep testing until af in ur position as i love to poas too.

Yes I had a MC at about 6 weeks on march 11th and conceived DS around march 24th. it was a total shock.

Just read the leaflet and CBD are 25ml sensitivity. So less sensitive than the tests I have been using. If AF hasn't arrived by Thursday I will test using that.

i shouldnt test until monday or tuesday but might have to poas over the weekend Grin

Do you have any Luteal phase issue? If not, if AF arrives 14 days after ovulation, you were probably not pregnant. If it arrives a few days late then you probably had a chemical pregnancy.

I had a positive clear blue digital test 1 day before AF was due in October and because I have hughes/anti-phospholipid syndrome I had a beta HCG blood test the next day and it was negative Sad

AF arrived 4 days later. I had been ovulation testing for a while and AF would always arrive 14 days later, so this I think means that it was more likely to be a chemical pregnancy rather than a false positive test result.

To be honest with you I have no idea what a Luteal phase is.

All I know is the tests I use have never given me a false result before. I could look at the test hours/days/weeks later and it would be exactly the same as it was 3 minutes in. They just don't give Evap lines.

If AF comes then it would have been a chemical pregnancy. There's no way it was an Evap. I've had 3 BFP, albeit feint ones, with two different brands. It just not likely.

You can bleed with a chemical when your period is due. It doesn't have to be later. This is the reason that many many women have chemical pregnancies and never know. They just think it is their period.

I've had a chemical before and AF started at its usual time.

oooh good work will keep everything crossed for u.

i am debating an early test tomorrow. will be 4 days till poas which im sure i read one of the earlier tests claims to pick up from even tho it is no different to other tests.

just been to a meeting and was stood in the corridoor waiting and felt like was falling i thought ooh symptom!

Yep, used a clear blue digital, 'not pregnant' no sign of AF either.

CB are quite sensitive, got a 1-2 when I was 10DPO.

They have a sensitivity of 25ml so not the most sensitive around. Its been a week since I had my first BFP. If I am pregnant still it would definitely show by now.
