I'm 22 weeks pregnant and have noticed recently that sometimes when I sneeze a little bit of pee comes out. I haven't even had my first baby yet! Blush

I've tried to do pelvic floor exercises but I think I'm doing it wrong. I've heard that there are machines that are avaliable and can help with this.

If anyone has used one of these, do they work?

Stress incontinence. Ask your midwife to talk you through how to do pelvic floor exercises properly. Do them regularly before and after the birth.

In the meantime, panty liners are your friend. I get this when I cough sneeze or blow my nose. Not every time but sometimes. If I remember to 'brace' myself it's fine but sometimes a sneeze just comes out of nowhere.

Same here. 21wks with ds2. I had a 3c tear last time so pelvic floor not great. Suggest talking to midwife about exercises; not much else you can do really.

Heard someone recently speak well of the kegal8...

Same here but is usually only when little one is pressing against bladder ... nightmare! But Tena has been my friend and it will sort itself after delivery if you keep on with the exercises meantime :)

A physio might be more help than a midwife, there is a muscle that moves near the crest of your pelvis when you do pelvic floor exercises correctly. Doing them incorrectly can make things worse. Hopefully midwife can advise on the need for a physio or not. The sooner you do something the better.

I dont think you are supposed to use the battery operated machines in pregnancy but the weights are fine.
