Does Primark do Tiny baby sized clothes?

Argh! Different clothes sizes in every blummin shop. It's so difficult to plan a shopping trip as they all call different sizes different things premature/tiny baby/ newborn grrrrr.

Just realised that my baby clothes are too big for my 4lb14oz and 5lb03oz twins due to be induced on Sunday. Last I was told last month they were growing well and would need normal newborn size so I have catered for that. Now induction has been brought forward due to slow growth.

I've got newborn baby grows from Primark and they start from 7.5lbs, so I'm guessing if they do a tiny baby size it will be perfect size. (Asda premature baby only goes upto 5lbs)

Any shop suggestions anyone?

Mothercare do two below newborn sizes- tiny baby and early baby. Our daughter was dressed almost exclusively in those for her first couple of months. Good luck with the induction!

Yes primark do! My sister bought me 4 babygrow from there (for my over 8lb baby) that were all tiny baby.

Bless her. It's a mind field really. I've got such limited time to nip out and get this sorted so don't want a wasted trip. Thanks for the advice. X

Asda do too I think

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 28/01/2015 23:12

I found primark sizes tiny - DS always had to have 1-2 sizes bigger from there than elsewhere, so newborn might be ok.

PretzelPrincess · 29/01/2015 00:45

Sainsburys do a good range.

BigCatFace · 29/01/2015 01:15

Tesco do tiny baby clothes too!

WrappedInABlankie · 29/01/2015 01:58

I'd second a Pp about the sizes being small.

Someone got my DS a t-shirt from primark for 12-18 months. It was as big as his normal 3-6 months clothes Confused

cookielove · 29/01/2015 01:58

Asda clothes came up really small on ds who was 5lb 4oz at birth he only wore them a couple times. You may have to ask mothercare as they often store the really tiny stuff out the back. Also boots go rrally small to and they do the ones that open across the tummy so good for for wires e.t.c.

Congratulations hope all goes well with your twins :)

BigCatFace · 29/01/2015 02:34

Oops, sorry, I meant Tesco do 2 new born sizes, one of which is called tiny baby!

BumpAndGrind · 29/01/2015 03:02

What are you having op?

I have some tiny girls clothes I would be happy to send you if you wanted from when I brought my DD home at 4lb 11oz.
(your free to say no if you would prefer new or whatever)

TheScenicRoute · 29/01/2015 05:41

Tesco do a small baby size and so does Mothercare. Next does as well but they are on the pricey side (especially if you're buying 2!)

Best of luck, hope all goes well for you Smile

M27J5M · 29/01/2015 14:48

Asda do a first size range too that's smaller than newborn

JennyBlueWren · 29/01/2015 21:05

Was in Tesco today and they had tiny baby size and cheap too (even the stuff that wasn't in the sale). My baby's not expected to be small but I loved some of the stuff and it was cheap and I was almost going to buy it!!

MissWimpyDimple · 29/01/2015 21:08

Tesco early baby (or tiny or whatever they call it) was perfect for my 35w baby.

BumpAndGrind · 29/01/2015 22:11

I've PM'd you back.

I do agree with what others have said, Tesco stuff is probably best to start.

I found the shops different sizes, so my DD was in tesco tiny at first, then asda tiny, then tesco newborn, then asda first size, then tesco up to one month... etc, etc.

The mothercare tiny baby stuff i found huge, didn't really fit her until she was about 7lb

BumpAndGrind · 29/01/2015 22:12

but with a lot of stuff, especially the babygrows, its all about the babies length rather than weight.

BumpAndGrind · 01/02/2015 14:47

Hope everything goes well today OP. I'm thinking of you x

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 01/02/2015 15:19

Mothercare early baby was just right for my cousin born at 5lbs.

MoominKoalaAndMiniMoom · 01/02/2015 15:24

Primark smallest is newborn I think.

Tesco has (I think) Tiny baby/Early baby, First size, newborn, 0-3. DD was born at 7lb 3oz but struggled to gain weight, she was in first size until she was 2 months old.

Best of luck! Flowers

Horseradishes · 01/02/2015 15:35

Agree tesco is best. Was only place I could get babygros that fit tiny dd.

Trunkisareshite · 01/02/2015 18:32

Boots stock tiny/ early stuff. As previously said a lot of what size you will need is down to length.
