Hello everyone. I am 34 weeks pregnant and have a really bad cold. Just wondered if anyone else is also suffering and has some good tips for natural remedies. I assume it is safe to inhale Olbas Oil? Is there anything we can also do to help with the coughing?

god, i know how you feel..! I;m 25 weeks and feel rough...

TBH I haven't been doing/taking anything..I was the same a few weeks ago and had "simple linctus", paracetamol and also hot drinks made of honey and lemon..You need to have lemons to increase your vitamin c intake as that will help fight it.

Its awful though..DD was bad over the weekend and I now know exactly how she felt .

And me...33 weeks tomorrow, been going on for 3 weeks (since dd started nursery, of course )

I have taken kiddy cough linctus for the cough, at times, because the exhaustion of not sleeping was getting severe. Also paracetamol, Olbas Oil, honey and lemon with fresh ginger (v good for throat).

You have my sympathy, E19, hope you feel better soon!

paracetamol every 6hrs is ok whilst pg, as a painkiller and to keep your temp down

steamies to clear your nose and honey drinks to ease your throat
