Hi all, I'm pregnant with my 3rd, my daughter will just be a year old by the time this one comes along, I also have a 6 year old son.
Anyway my daughter right now is incredibly clingy, she hasn't been with anyone else only me or my other half, obviously around other people but one of us is always present. I've found it quite hard letting her go with anyone, I've had offers but just feel so anxious about it.
My birth with her was fab, she was 1week late, I had a sweep at 41weeks at 2.30pm, from then on I was having mild contractions every 10-20 mins.
By 6.30 they were coming every 1-2mins and hurting, we got to the hospital at 7pm and she was born by 7.10pm
At 8.30pm I felt great, I was bathed dressed and wanting to leave for home, but advised to stay in over night which I did.
I am now 25weeks and thinking maybe a home birth would be an option but I don't really understand how it all works, I just thought at least then I could have my sister down stairs with the children if needs be.
Of course it may not be so easy this time around. I just wanted some advice and experience.
Thanks

I think having other children is a fairly frequently cited reason for wanting a home birth. It can be much less disruptive for them. There are also threads on here describing how often labour and delivery occurs overnight in these cases, and labour stalls when the kids are around. Talk to your midwife about it. Also have a look. You ask your midwife to book you in for a home birth.

At 37 weeks someone will come and deliver the kit to your house (includes gas and air and neonatal resuscitation equipment).

When you are in labour 2 midwives will come out and deliver your baby
