Is 37 weeks too late for perineal massage?

With everything going on I'd forgotten about it. Is 37 weeks too late to start?

Why not have a go? It's not essential that you do it anyway so it may make a difference it may not, you'd never know either way!

If it's any consolation, I've never done it and I haven't torn with my previous two births, (7lb5oz/7lb8oz babies) and one of them had their hand up by their head.
