Im 24 weeks with 2nd child my little girl and I woke with cold thanks to daddy! My throat is killing me is it safe to have soothes or other types of cough sweats just need something to ease it up bit

I think Strepsils are best avoided, but the less potent cough sweets are fine. There's a type of Benylin that's ok for pg women, it's in a purple box. It's basically liquid sugar I think.

I second Jakeman's - lovely, they are!

I've been told that Strepsils are fine. I've been using lighter alternatives though like Soothers.

When I was pregnant last year a pharmacist said yes to soothers but no to strepsils
