Oh my goodness, I am SO tired, I am literally only 5 weeks, so nobody knows I am PG. I am so tired I could literally collapse at my desk and have a little sleep. If I blink I am worried I might not open my eyes again. I had a normal nights sleep etc but wow, I know they say you get tired in your 1st and last trimester but I feel like such a fraud as I have no bump or anything....

I dozed off in a meeting at around that stage!

fixuplooksharp · 26/01/2015 13:23

haha Sian, that is so funny, I hope I have no meetings scheduled anytime soon as I can see that happening!! I keep having to open my office window to let some air in to wake me up abit!

Might be worth having a quiet word with your Occupational Health team, if you have one. The Occy Health person at my work let me know that, if I needed a rest during the day, the first aid rooms were at my disposal...

Oh gosh I feel your pain!! I am 8+5 and feel like the walking dead. So hard not being able to tell anyone at work why I am not functioning like a normal human being! Roll on 2nd trimester!

geekymommy · 26/01/2015 14:40

I had this too. I'm 14+4, and it's getting better, but I'm still not back to my normal self. The restrictions on caffeine have really not helped. This is my second pregnancy, and I think I might not have been entirely back to normal during my whole first pregnancy (the caffeine might have something to do with this, too). Of course, now I'm working and have a toddler (who was sick all weekend, oh joy), so there are other plausible explanations for being tired.

I had this! Literally dropped off to sleep at my desk, on the train, everywhere, and wide mouthed!!

I am 15+1 and back to my late nights and early mornings and not feeling too shabby Smile

These other comments have made me laugh! How do people not notice, we are walking zombies. I have two boys at home, one was up at 5am this morning, thank for that :) Haha!!
Poledra - Gosh how we all wish we had someone from Occy Health here or even an HR person, this company have nothing of the sort and are the most un family friendly company in the world!!
Pinkie - I am also hoping for some sort of energy burst the very second the 2nd trimester hits!

Number3 - I am looking forward to being able to watch an entire programme in the evening without falling asleep. By the time the boys are settled in bed, we sit down at 8.30 and I'm fighting to keep my eyes open by 8.45. I'm normally good until 10.30/11.

I did fall asleep watching Angels and Demons on Netflix yesterday, but that is an assburner of a film and I did eat a whole massive pack of butterkist popcorn so probably had a sugar rush then lull!

fixuplooksharp · 26/01/2015 15:44

Haha yes I don't do myself any favours in the food department, I don't feel like eating much during the day and can just about manage some special k so in the evening I am ready for FOOD :) And winter food is so good, but yes it makes me full then sleepy!!
