Googling symptoms of ectopic pregnancy and scaring myself. I have cramps and they're mild that's it yet I'm convincing myself I have all of the symptoms (except bleeding)

I'm 8/9 weeks an having a scan on Thursday I need to keep myself calm until then, genuinely want to cry because I have no one IRL to talk to about this ATM Sad

I had this and everything was fine. I called my midwife and she said it was my body making room.for the baby. Don't worry yourself

It's great you're getting checked out. AFAIK cramps associated with ectopic pregnancies are severe. Mild cramping is one of the normal symptoms of early pregnancy. I think most ectopic pregnancies are diagnosed by 8 weeks so that may reassure you too.

Thanks, I suffer really badly with health anxiety. I've got myself in a right mess like an idiot.

Google is so good but it's also my worst enemy

I had symptoms of this, & had an emergency scan at 8 weeks. The doctor told me I would have been in a lot more pain if I'd made it to 8 weeks with an ectopic though so the scan was really just a precaution in case I'd massively got my dates wrong.

Try not to worry - the fact that it's only mild cramping is good. Very normal at 8 weeks.

I think it's completely understandable! Pregnancy magnifies everything because suddenly you're worrying about the baby too. I'd seek medical help straight away if pain becomes severe or you have bleeding btw. Otherwise I wish you a very boring pregnancy. Smile

Round ligament pain can feel like cramps. You can Google this if you like. I got those starting pretty early. It's the ligaments that hold your uterus in place stretching to accommodate the growth of your uterus.

I have health anxiety, too. I've made it through one pregnancy and 14 weeks of a second. I've been worried the whole time with both.

I'm so happy I decided to google round ligament pain it makes so much sense.

I hate the fact I should know better than to google everything but my brain is like 'just do it'
