Do these actually help? I currently just use about 5 pillows around my body which helps a hell of a lot and I now have no problems getting comfy or sleeping. So I'm thinking is their a point getting one if normal pillows do the job. I'm 24 week so going to get get bigger. If it's even possible Confused.

I didn't get one for my first pregnancy as I thought it'd be a waste of money. My sister recently gave me her old one for my second pregnancy and I have to say that it really, really makes a difference. Can't believe that I didn't get one first time around. It a Theraline one and I'd certainly recommend it, it'll also make a good breastfeeding pillow after.

I thought the same until about 34 weeks when no matter where I put my 5 pillows I started getting horrendous pain over my pubic bone when sleeping on my side. A friend has lent me her gro bag maternity pillow, which is a bean bag type long pillow, slightly thicker in the middle and with lots of room to squidgy it around to fit. I initially found it too firm but the last few nights (now 37 & 4) i have managed to get it just right and had no pain when I woke this morning. Great under thighs and curved round to rest arms on when sleeping sat up against pillows (i have a cold just now) too.

I have one which felt amazing at first, now I'm 35+6 and struggle to get comfortable in any position and find the pillow a hindrance at times. It no longer helps with hip and knee pain during the night nor with backache. If you're going to get one maybe don't spend too much on one, I think lots of pillows works just as well Smile

I got the dream genii it's OK. I expected it to be a bit firmer to support me better! But it is good! I actually faced it back to front so the long bit is behind me and the small bits at the front so I can still get my pillow under my bump and knees! It's doing me just fine!

I have twins so I was ^huge* pretty early on. I had a dream genii and it was worth every penny.
