Bleeding/spotting after bowel movement

So, I'm in my third trimester (almost 29 weeks) and for the last week and a bit, I've had spotting and two occasions of bleeding after a bowel movement. I've been to maternity triage twice; the first time they kept me in for 24 hours, but the second time they let me go after various checks. Each time I went in, I had a blood test, speculum exam, baby heartbeat monitor and an ultrasound. The hospital have been amazing. The first time they discovered a very small clot, but cervix was normal and not inflamed and was closed. Been prescribed lactulose as the dr thinks it could be I'm aggravating my cervix when I have a bowel movement and it is literally a little spotting every time I have one. Has anyone else had this? I'm so relieved it's not serious, but it does create anxiety. Thanks

Yes!! I've had this at about 7 weeks and again yesterday at 15+2. Scared the hell out of me first time (and second time) but after a long and slightly embarrassing conversation with my midwife I'm less concerned. Apparently I must have a sensitive cervix!

I've had this all the way through (now 19 weeks). GP & MW not particularly bothered as they keep telling me it's probably piles, but it isn't cos I don't have any (yet). They're absolutely incredulous when I tell them it's not coming from the back end! I've got a consultant appt today and scan tomorrow, so I'm going to try and get some answers. It's not nice worrying all the time, is it?

Thanks. You have made me feel a lot better. Think it's actually quite common, but frustrating when no one can explain exactly why it's happening.

I get it all the time! I can have a really hard bowel movement and then usuall a few houses later or the next day I spot. Guess I just have a sensitive cervix too!!

Yeah I've had this, I have a very sensitive little cervix God love it, I have a cervical erosion and it bleeds with any excuse at all sometimes. Same thing happened to me, had quite a bright red bleed a few weeks ago after a bm and had to get it checked out, but all was fine.
