28weeks and had a growth scan and consultant app today. Baby appears to be doing well, measuring well and estimated to be 2lb 12oz. However she is currently breech (and I'm pretty sure she has been all the time).

However I had to go to day assessment because once again my no was higher than acceptable (148/106) and I had protein in my urine. I just am convinced that baby is going to be premature because of this ongoing issue. Someone slap me and make me snap out of this negative mindset.

the best thing you can do for your baby is to look after yourself and try to keep well, rest lots and let people look after you :-)
good luck and congrats x

It sounds like your midwife team are doing all they can to monitor you which is really great. If your blood pressure remains high there are drugs you can be given to try and bring it down. It's hard but try not to stress too much as this could make it worse. It might not be anything to worry about. If they think you will need to deliver early for you and your babies safety they will have an expert team ready for you. Hope all is well xxx

Thank you for your replies. I guess I'm just panicking a bit. This is baby #5 for us and I'm so scared this time.

Hi op, I have had blood sugar issues and my BP has been awful, so I now have drugs to bring it down. I actually found the drugs seemed to help with anxiety as I suspect it being high was causing me to be jumpy and having it brought down seemed to help.

I think it might be chicken and egg - could be feeling anxious so BP goes up, or the fact that BP is high makes you anxious. I hadn't really realised I was anxious until I took the pills as I definitely felt calmer afterwards. I am more than 37 weeks now though so I think if I've got this far, you can too!

Ps my BP has been 168 at various times!

Well I was admitted last night with bp 160/106. Steroids started in case they needed to deliver but currently, after it peaked at 168/108, and protein +1 in urine, they seem to have it under control and at 134/74 (best I've seen it in over four years!!!). Hopefully, if it stays down, I can go home tomorrow.

How are you getting on now dances?

I'm still here :( blood pressure has started to creep back up (150/92 last reading) and the consultant has said he will not let me leave until I have had 24 hours of blood pressure below (140/90). Meds are being regularly administered but it's not looking too good at the moment.
