Consultant appointment - what to expect?

I'm 19 weeks today, I've got a consultant appointment tomorrow and my anomaly scan on Friday.

I vaguely remember this consultant appointment being because I'm high risk due to BMI, so they have to make sure they can site an epidural and that I can extend my neck in case they need to intubate. Is this right? Should I be expecting anything else?

Also, would this be a good time to mention the sporadic spotting/bleeding I have? Neither my GP nor my MW has taken it seriously and keep assuming it's piles (it's not), but it's still happening and I have no idea why. Or should I ask the sonographer on Friday?

yes everything went well. Radiographer said everything perfect (but i reckon she tells everyone that!). Oh I want the surprise. But how exciting for you knowing! You'll have so much fun buying things now Grin

I'm really happy for you :) I had a lot of anxiety before going in, but can't stop grinning and cooing over the pics now!

Now to dive in to the rather overwhelming world of baby stuff... My neighbours will probably have to get used to the cries of 'HOW much?!' Grin

Ha ha ha I know, me 2!! Ridiculous isn't it?! Going to hit the charidee/"preloved" shops for stuff I reckon. And take whatever people offer me! So much waste otherwise!

Well perhaps except my pram. Fallen in love with a mamas n papas armadillo flip. Grin

Hi guys,

I am extremely nervous and anxious and need some advice. Last week I attended my local maternity unit due to a second episode of reduced movement. All was fine but I was told that as it’s my second episode, they have to refer me for a scan to make sure all was okay. The results back back that baby’s AC decreased from 76% to 42% and they were concerned. I have another scan booked in in two weeks and also a visit with a consultant and I’m extremely nervous. What could be wrong? Did anyone have a similar situation? My Doppler came back fine so at least that’s slightly reassuring
