I'm 34+3 and seen community midwife today. I've had 3 CS , 1st one I was induced at 42 weeks and I think looking back I was young and not prepared to have a baby and never actually anticipated giving birth, it resulted in CS, no foetal distress or anything, I had another baby 18 months later, went over again but this time went into slow labour, as I'd had previous CS I had to go in straight away, labour slowed/stopped so I was again induced with no result maybe got to 6cm ended up with CS again for failure to progress, 13 years later pregnant again and much more mature and educated about childbirth, desperately wanted to have VBAC but met such resistance from consultant that i agreed to ELCS delivered at 38 weeks, DD ended up in NICU as they said she had low glucose levels, I wanted to BF but they said she had to have formula but gave it from a medicine pot so she wouldn't have a teat. I wasn't provided with a pump so didn't express, eventually got to feed her next day. That was nearly 5 years ago and I don't want to repeat experience. Today midwife suggested I change hospitals and go for home birth against medical advice, I have agreed to this as I think I will labour naturally at home and have more chance of success, just want to know if anyone has similar experiences? Current consultant wants to deliver again at 37/38 weeks and I just don't agree as I can see same happening as last time and babies should be left to term and birth as naturally as possible.
