Hi lovelies, I work in a care home and there's a bad sickness bug going round. Nearly all residents have had it and most of the staff. I'm due in on Saturday (had a week off) is it safe for me to go?
I'm 14 weeks.
Thank you

Unfortunately this is impossible for anyone to answer.

Just follow sensible precautions and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Anyway, babies are pretty robust and if you do come down with a sickness bug all will be fine

Most viruses and bacteria are spread by touching surfaces that have been contaminated by contact with those infected and then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes. Frequent hand washing can destroy viruses etc.
Use disposable items, discard tissues etc. Catch it, bin it Grin

However, if anything does hitch a ride with you - you'll pass the antibodies to your baby (so my GP said).
Mind you don't get dehydrated, and try not to worry too much as everyone will tell you - your little button is snug as a bug, and very safe in your tummy.

Thank you, actually got called in today and I feel awful now I'm home! Can't have caught it and developed symptoms already, I know that but doesn't help how I feel.
