So excited but still in shock. Today I had my first scan and saw that I'm having twins Grin. It's safe to say I certainly wasn't expecting that! I can't stop looking at the scan pic and warming to my little bundles lol. If you have had twins did you find this pregnancy different to a single child pregnancy? I have 1 dd already but not sure what to expect with this double one. Fwiw I'm a twin myself so for some reason thought I'd have a smaller chance of conceiving twins. My twin and I were a month early too..how early or late were your twins?

TIA

Congratulations, I had twins 8 years ago. I had a straight forward pregnancy once the morning sickness stopped. I had no heart burn, swollen ankles or stretch marks. I was able to carry on swimming until 37 weeks and did Pilates until 35 when I struggled to move!
I worked until 33 weeks and by then I was sleeping for at least 2 hours when I got home from work. I was able to use holiday and cut back to 3 days a week for the last few weeks.
I was 40 weeks when I was induced.I had an emergency section and recovered quite quickly. Although I think it helped that I was in no hurry to get out of hospital so was able to rest!
If you have space in the freezer prepare meals. I made lots of soups for lunches and evening meals things which could go in the oven and required no attention.
The first 6 months wasn't nearly as bad as people had warned me they would be. My DH was working long hours and I managed most of the child care solo.
Good luck and it's lots of fun

Thanks double. I was quite lucky with ms I probably had it 5 times tops and it stopped completely by 9 weeks. My job is very physical so I'm tired anyway but planning to maybe drop an hour on a couple of my days.

I get all my holiday hours in April so I'm planning to book it off at once and take a month off just before my mat leave. I really want to try and work to 34 weeks but obviously I can't say now if that will be possible.

They're due during the summer hols so I'll be entertaining my stb 4yo at the same time. I love spending time with her but think it'll be nice once she starts full time so I have more time to sleep juggle the twins and try and set a routine
