Weird digestion

I'm coming up to 6 weeks and for the past couple of days I've had a pain in my stomach which goes between sharp trapped wind pains and general tender/achey ness. This is also spread to my bum (sorry tmi) and feels like I'm constantly desperate for a poo (sorry for graphic ness here), and is particularly bad after I've eaten a meal.
I haven't had morning sickness and wondered if anyone has had any similar symptoms? I'm not sure if it's an unrelated tummy bug type thing or if something weird is going on with the pregnancy.

Oh hell yes! I've had digestion issues all the way through until about a week ago (I'm now 18 weeks). Constipation, trapped wind, the runs, general hardness in the belly area, odd pains that woke me up - the lot. Your digestive system slows down in pregnancy to extract more nutrients for the baby, so can cause all sorts of mayhem I'm afraid!

Ah thanksthat makes me feel a whole lot better, started reading about ectopic pregnancies and even though I haven't had any bleeding id started to convince myself something was seriously wrong! Have a doctors appt this afternoon anyway to check all is ok. I'm only 6 weeks in and going crazy with anxiety!

Glad you're getting checked out, always better safe than sorry. The anxiety, I'm reliably told, will last for another, oh, 60 years or so ;) Hope all goes well this afternoon!

Trapped wind like you wouldn't believe, and it can get so painful ( and it's pretty grim when it is 'released'! Blush

Thanks Teeste, went to a doctor and she basically told me I'm worrying too much which made me feel a bit silly for a second but I can handle that as long as everything is ok! I've been so miserable with tummy pains recently my boyfriend cheers when I fart :D

Oh, every fart is a triumph when you're pregnant! It's amazing how much you miss it when you can't Confused

Glad all is well - you are most definitely not the first nor last pregnant woman to worry!
