SMP or MA?

I was employed until 30th June last year then changed employers with no break in between, so started new job on 1st July. Am I entitled to SMP or MA? TIA

BTW due date is 27th Feb

This page states you need to have worked at your place of employment at least a week before becoming pregnant - I don't think you did if you're due in Feb - is that right?

It says - 'If you were pregnant before you started the job, you won't be entitled to Statutory Maternity Pay, but you will be entitled to maternity leave and will probably get Maternity Allowance.'

So I'd say MA, very probably.

Thank you, I've just checked Gov web page and it looks like I'll get MA
