6 wks and bleeding

I knwo there is probably nothign anybody can advise but I am bleeding a bit. Was 6 weeks ON sat. It isn't copious amounts {yet?) and was pinky/browny to start with (sorry if TMI) but now has proper blood bits in it. It's really only noticeable when i 'wipe' but am totally panicking. Off to see GP in 1/2 hour but sure there isn't any point . They certanly won't be able to do anything tonight anyway.

I am so sad, don't think there is any point in hoping there is nothign wrong

Not much advice i can give but try and stay positive , there have been women on here that will have bleed and still go on to have healthy pregnacies! - Hopefully he may send you to the EPU for a scan xxxx
look after yourself

It may just be implantation. Try not to worry too much, doctor will advise you

i bled throughout my first pregnancy - first time at six weeks - then at 14/ 21/ 26/ each time very scary (wasn't much but made me paranoid all the time).

all was fine in the end. so it doesn't mean it won't be for you. good luck

hi hayls, hope all has gone well at the doctors. I am also 6 weeks pregnant and had slight bleeding on saturday just when i wiped. Well we panicked like crazy and i ended up in a&e. Got told it is completely normal and my blood pressure and temperature were both fine and i wasn't in any pain, I have been told to relax so i'm havng this week off work and thay have booked me in for an early scan on friday when i will be 7 weeks. hope this is what they offer you because i'm really looking forward to it just for the reassurance

Doctor wasn't very reassuring, just rang hospital and spokek to midwife. Have booked me in for scan next MOnday when I will be 7 weeks, they don't do them before then.
Still don't knwo what to think, don't want to get hopes up and be disappointed so am assuming the worst . There isn't a huge amount of bleeding; it's not bright red but I'm sure it isn't 'old' blood IYSWIM. i'm also having a few cramps so I don't think it looks good.

Only positive thing I can think of is that I saw gp a few months ago because of mid-cycle and post- sex bleeds and she said I had a coupl eof big clots on my cervix, which were bleeding. So I suppose ther may be a chance that this is the case but again I need to assume the worst.

This will be the longest week ever

Yes it will be a long wait Did he not mention implantation bleeding. I know not everyone gets this but I had it at around 5/6 weeks and had small cramps in bottom of tummy. Try not to let it get you down too much.

had cramps too - was convinced i was miscarrying. i wasn't, you get very very sensitive obviously to every twinge at thsi stage. you live in your knickers as a friend said. i too had a seven week scan for reassurance. rest an excellent idea. good luck.

just wondering gemmclover what type of scan did you have at 7 weeks was it an internal one?

Hi, just came on and saw this thread, I am 7 weeks pg and started bleeding yesterday morning, just like you pinky brown to start with and then a bit redder but not a really heavy loos, anyway woke up at 4 this morning with cramps and ended up going to A&e at 6, urine test still showed pg but homone levels were low for 7 weeks, so they did an ordinary scan on tummy which the nurse quite coldly said was not showing anything therefore I must have miscarried. I have now ben home and in bed most of the day trying to take it all in bleeding has virtually stopped and gone very watery and pink, nothing like what i imagined a mc would be like I also havent lost any clots, any ideas what may have happened?

Hi, just wanted to wish you both luck and to say that I know that youre both feeling wretched at the moment. I have suffered bleeding with both of my pregnancies, and had a miscarriage before ds1. I wanted to say to Hayls, cramps are really normal in early pregnancy, especially with the first, i found. With this pregnancy, I had five weeks of bleeding, starting at around six weeks, mostly it was dark blood but also some bright red with clots, so like you i thought i was going to miscarry but i didnt. I think some women just do bleed in early pregnancy, and at the hospital they said that it was very common to get bleeding during pregnancy to you might just be one of those people that bleeds - horrible and very stressful but dont give up yet, it might be ok, I really hope so. Tissey, Im sorry the nurse was insensitive, sometimes people dont realise how very upsetting this is. Did the nurse make another appointment to check you agian in a week or so? The y should have done, if you have miscarried, they will need to check that everything has come away. Is it possible that you got your dates wrong, and that it was too early to see anything on the scan? If you had had an actual miscarriage i think you would have been in a lot of pain with a lot of bleeding, or thats how mine was anyway. It may be that you had a missed miscarriage, where the pregnancy has ended but you havent actually had the bleeding, in which case the doctor will need to see you to check everything out. Im thinking of you both, i know how worrying it all is, its horrid, I hope you both get to find out whats going on soon. xxxxxx

Just back from A + E as bleeding got heavier and had a couple of clots I'm so convinced it's all over and felt so sad when I had to keep rushing to the loo at the hospital, felt really cruel to be having pg symptoms when this is happening. I've been unable to eat today as I feel so sick and have very sore head too. Anyway am now having a scan tomorrow morning so we shall see what it brings.

I knwo it's irrational but I keep thinking I did something wrong. i can't stop crying. Am going to go to bed and try to sleep.

(Yes, cuppy, my dd was born in Jan 04- I do remember you)

They wouldn't do the scan as they said it was still too early. I have accepted that I have lost the baby though as the bleeding is increasing and I am cramping too. My notes said that the preg test in A + E was faint positive (yet another bit said it was negative so who knows) and at 6 weeks+ it should be more than that. I am signed off for 2 weeks until my scan.
Thanks for all your kind thoughts and wishes, I am going to lurk for a bit then go to bed- MIL has taken dd out and I don't know what I'll do when she's gone home . Can't eat at all and feel really sick.

Hayles feel so for you. I kad a Missed m/c in August and do know that felling that you are going through , it must be so hard them not giving you a scan, and you not knowing for sure they could have got you back next week at 7 weeks . Thinking of you xxx

It's a nice thought tortoise but I feel so sure within myself. Am trying to remain negative sot hat I can't be disappointed any more
