Increased baby movement or all in my head??

I think I'm just being a first time, over excited, mom to be. But all day today I have felt baby, none stop. Usually I feel her first thing in morning and then from 7pm-11pm. Today I have also been sick, and drifted in and out of sleep for long periods (really unlike me). I'm 37+2 but due to being given two different due dates, I could actually be 38+2 and me and hubby have always felt baby will be early.

I called midwife and she was unsure so asked her colleague for second opinion, who said its best to go in to do 'trace' I think- I assume monitor babies heart rate? I would hate to waste their time, I don't feel unwell, even when I was sick, it was barely anything, ive kept most food down and don't feel uncomfortable.

What would you guys do? Am I over reacting?

No you are not over reacting, please go in and be checked. Unusual increased movements can be a sign if feotal distress.

It's not wasting their time. Go soon. Good luck x

My lil fella is like it all day! Literally non stop, barely has sleep time. I've just come out of hospital due to a Kidney Infection and whilst in there I was monitored a lot and I mentioned his non stop movement n they said he's just a very active healthy baby and that it's a good sign, I thought he might b in distress! It's always best to get checked out though.

SnowLondon · 10/01/2015 22:47

This is unusual for the op tho...

PLEASE get checked out NOW!!!

RandomMess · 10/01/2015 22:49

ANY unusual movement whether increase, decrease or just "different" should be thoroughly checked out, please go now.

Superworm · 10/01/2015 22:50

I had a very similar thing with DS with unusual non stop movements. Turns I had an infection, his heart rate was 210 bpm and he was in distress.

Any change in movements should be checked, so it's good you called and are going in.

Ridingthestorm · 11/01/2015 10:01

Pooh. Keep us posted. 37/38 weeks is 'full term'. X

Cullercoats88 · 11/01/2015 15:10

I have baked bread, had a long bath and bounced on my ball. The contractions are more frequent now so we are off to the hospital. I stupidly agreed to calling baby Robyn if van Persie scores in Man U game later, don't agree to anything whilst mid contraction!!
Will keep you posted, I'm so excited Grin

We are deciding on a name at the moment, but she was born a lovely 7lb 2 7.55pm on Sunday! It was a very quick, calm, water birth. She is just asleep now SmileGrin
