Hi ladies,
Need some advice. I am 14 weeks pregnant and before I found out I had gone to my doctor to discuss trying for a baby (little did I know I was already pregnant) because I have a BMI of 35 we discussed me losing weight and she made an appointments for me to have my bloods done to check diabetes, thyriod and cholestral. I knew i was pregnant by the time I went for my bloods and had had my booking in appointments. All all came back fine a part from my thyriod, when I called for the results the receptionist said my thyriod one had been sent to my midwife to check. I rang her and she said she hadn't got anything yet but would check them and call me if she needed me to pop in.
I never heard so didn't think anything of it, until, I went to my doctor last Friday with a rash all over my boobs and stomach (still there and not related to any thyroid problem, I dont think :|) the doctor mentioned again that I would need my thyroid checking again in March.
Anyway to cut a long story short I have been looking up why I have been so freezing cold all the time the past few weeks and its flagged up that its a symptom of a thyroid problem. Im now a bit worried there is something wrong but no one has called me or scheduled an appointment, and I was under the impression that the midwife would call me if there was an issue.
Ive heard it can cause low IQ and poor mobility issues in babies. Do you reckon I should call my midwife on Monday or just chill out and wait until I see her?
I dont know whether someone has missed something here or whether im being daft.
Sorry if that didn't make much sense!!
