Checked my fertility chart today (let it lapse over Christmas) and realised I was on day 40. Peed on a stick, the lines were up bold as brass before I pulled the stick out of the pee.

I cried all over DH. We hugged. I threw up. He made me tea.

Now I get to worry myself stupid until I see a scan. Hurrah!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Huge congratulations! What a lovely new year surprise for you! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy Smile

Bair · 01/01/2015 22:32

Thank you. Smile

DH is off to play his game and I'm going to MN. Think we're just absorbing it. Feels so surreal. I doubt I'm going to sleep tonight, I feel so 'aware' of my womb iyswim?

I am 6 weeks 3 days.

Congratulations Bair what a brilliant start to a new year. I took 3 years to get my BFP too - she is nearly 14 months now and I count my blessings everyday sometimes I can't believe she's actually here. Enjoy every minute of your pregnancy even when you don't feel your best it's a magical time. Best of luck.x

Bair (not Bait - !!) that's really thoughtful of you. Yes, there are a lot of ups and downs and they hit you harder when you have been trying so long. Do come and join us though - you will be with people who understand what you've been through and just how precious it is.

I found out I was pregnant last week- I'm about 5 weeks. Ours was unplanned but now I'm so excited and can't quite believe it's real! Unfortunately I was taking meds which you shouldn't take when pregnant (trimethoprim about 4/5 times and vesicare daily for 2-3 weeks) until I realised. Plus Christmas drinking, though not to excess. I stopped immediately and started taking pregnancy vitamins. I guess I just have to be realistic and avoid horror stories because years ago people did all-sorts whilst pregnant. I just can't help being excited- is it ok to be excited before 12 weeks?
