Next week when I get paid I'm sure the shops will be busy I can't imagine the baby bath sets will be flying of the shelves! ...I hope not anyway! I'm getting everything next week....minus the clothes etc I've baught already.

Ohbollocksandballs · 28/12/2014 11:20

They will be on sale in various baby events too. I rarely see them full price. Bloody good buy though.

KatoPotato · 28/12/2014 11:40

Am I being too cautious? When is good to start buying?

Honestly I started buying right away, a lot leave it until after the 20 week scan. Depends if you're superstitious or not.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 28/12/2014 11:43

Buying doesnt cause things to go wrong.

acharmofgoldfinches · 28/12/2014 11:46

We started - very cautiously - buying stuff after the 20 week scan, and now we are nearly 30 weeks we are making the most of the sales. Anything you're superstitious about you can wait to bring it in (the pushchair was briefly indoors to be checked over, but it's now in the shed and that's where it will be staying until the baby arrives!), but everything else I am enjoying getting ready.

Have fun Smile

Bugaboo etc and lots of clothes still here from ds1 (this will be ds2, just found out!) just feel funny about a big new purchase. I'm normally very sensible!

I bought i gorgeous furniture set on Pramworld.co.uk nearly £700 off the original price tag. I am currently thinking about buying a pram too, and i am looking at the Maxi Cosi Elea which seems to have pretty good reviews. I am 19 weeks today and i would rather just get everything at a bargain in the sales.

Cupcakes123 · 28/12/2014 12:08

My DS is 4 months and my perfect prep is literally my favourite possession. Life saver at 2am.

Buy it!!! Smile

TheScenicRoute · 28/12/2014 12:36

Buy it! And enjoy.... Keep the receipt if it bothers you.

Ohbollocksandballs · 28/12/2014 12:40

They are brilliant. DS is nearly 1 and I'm still using it.

bananapickle84 · 28/12/2014 12:40

We bought as we saw things, including DS's Christmas present (he's now nearly 4mths) when I was 16 weeks!!
Just open and check all works as it'll be 4-5 mths before you use it otherwise.
I LOVE my perfect prep machine.

Hellohellohowareyou · 28/12/2014 14:14

Oooh where is it on sale for 60?

applecore0317 · 28/12/2014 15:13

I'm coming up to 19 weeks and let my Mum buy us a cot in the Mamas and Papas sale today, was such a good price and won't be delivered until end of May anyway, was a bit should we... shouldn't we about it at first

PregnantAndEngaged · 28/12/2014 15:23

I bought a baby car seat (sale from £80 to £40) and Philips Avent Natural Starter Set (on sale from £150 to £75). I'm only 15+2. It doesn't hurt to be organised, and you might as well buy it while it is on sale and save yourself LOADS of money rather than waiting until nearer the time but having to pay double the price. Baby items are not cheap so get it while there's a bargain! :)

theonewiththenoisychild · 29/12/2014 12:08

i started buying early on. if something is going to go wrong it wont be because you brought something for baby. i have been very anxious i lost my babys twin at 9 and half weeks. i am now 27 weeks with the surviving twin and have brought loads for him. i didnt even know he was a twin until my scan at 11+5 they didnt pick it up on the scan at 9+3 but i dont think it had anything to do with buying anything its just nature. and nature can be cruel sometimes Sad
