Scan when hubby away

Had an early scan last week, all was good. Got my 12 week scan mon 12th but hubby only home fri-sun. Midwife said it wouldn't be a problem having scans on Fridays but just spoke to hospital and they said I can't change app as I'm under a consultant who only works Monday. Hubby is devestated. Think we're going to book private scan just so he can see him/her.
Anyone else any experience? Can I ask for scan to change to a fri and see consultant on a mon? Don't want to never see baby with hubby but obviously main priority is knowing baby is safe and well.

My hubby missed my scan due to work like yourselves we'd already had an early scan so he'd seen the baby, my mum came with me instead it was really nice for her to see. We booked a private sexing scan for 16wks that we both went to.

Had most of my scans by myself, was fine, actually easier as could listen properly.

I had most of my scans by myself. It really was ok. The only time anything ever mattered was the two session antenatal class I went to when everyone else was with their mums or partners and I was the only one alone. Pregnancy hormones got the better of me then. Take yourself off for a little hot chocolate afterwards as a treat.

My partner missed DD2s 12 week scan because he was away for work. I invited his sister who was really touched to be involved. We booked a private sexing scan for week 18 where he was able to see the wee one

DH missed the 12 week scan due to work, he first saw baby at the 20 week one which luckily we managed to have at 8am so he could come!

Thank you for all replies :) I've rang hosp and they are scanning me the fri and I'm back the mon for consultant.....saves me having a stroppy hubby lol xxx
