Is it normal to feel...well, normal!?

Just that really. I'm 6+4 and have had no real symptoms...no morning sickness, no more tired than usual- I'm naturally quite dopey!- no mood swings...only slightly sore boobs and some very light tugging sensations in my lady bits (no pain) on occasion. I'm not rubbing it in (for those of you who are really suffering) I'm genuinely concerned; is this normal? I'm reading about the symptoms everyone is having and I don't have them! So now I'm worried things aren't happening as they're supposed to, I just feel, well 'normal'. I don't even feel pregnant, although I'm not naturally a broody or maternal person. I did 2 tests when I first found out and in both cases the line was very definite and dark. I had the very slightest very pale pink discharge about 3 days ago after wiping- it was only when I went to the loo once and was hardly noticeable- but nothing before or since. Should I do another test? It's my first pregnancy by the way, so no point of reference for how I 'should' be feeling! Can't talk to the MW cos STILL haven't managed to get hold of one! Thanks.

I've gone through phases of feeling really normal; didn't have much in the way of symptoms until 9 weeks or so.

I'm 32 weeks and apart from this past week (when I've had a sorethroat/cold) I've been feeling really well recently -although I have a particularly big bump! People will ask how I'm doing and I'll start talking about work/home/the weather and they point out that they're asking how the pregnancy's going. I almost forgot I was pregnant (unless I looked in a mirror or bent down or when baby was kicking -and even that I've become used to) and would be surprised when people would offer to carry things for me etc.
I've always been quite a maternal/broody person (I'm a preschool teacher!) but don't coo to the bump or anything.

Yes absolutely normal. You might find that symptoms kick in within the next couple of weeks. I did have some at 6w but 8w was the absolute worst so it might happen soon. But some people really don't feel pregnant until they get a big bump.

Don't worry, I was like this the whole way through my pregnancy, (and I'm very lucky I know!). No morning sickness, no aches and pains, no weird food cravings, nothing. Bump just got bigger and that was that.
(I did end up having to have a C section as DD was breech though)

Thanks for the reassurance everyone! Plus, it's nice to have people say 'congratulations'...I've not told anyone else yet! Fingers crossed I'm just having an easy time of it thus far. Think I'm naturally quite resilient...a few years ago my gallbladder basically got ripped to shreds and the surgeon couldn't believe that I could even walk, let alone that I was feeling absolutely fine!

Enjoy it. I'm 21 weeks and I've felt worse in the second trimester than I ever felt in the first, I was fine during that, and have all sorts of minor but annoying crap since 14 weeks.

Symptoms don't mean anything really, pregnancies progress just fine without them, having them doesn't necessarily indicate anything at all!

Yes I was fine, no nausea or anything.

A colleague was due at the same time and had horrendous morning sickness. I quickly grew to hate people saying to her "oh being sick is a really good sign". I may have said "oh should I be worried then as I feel fine?" to one particular knobhead person.

And I never EVER got sick in regular life, my immune system has completely buggered off :(

You're the same as me!! We're the 'lucky ones' but I found it very tough mentally not feeling pregnant - very worrying!! Which no-one seems to sympathise with, whereas I manage to sympathise with those feeling physically crap .

The majority of people I know never had morning sickness, I was expecting to get it as I thought it was something most people got!

I'm exactly the same. 6+5 and apart from sore, rapidly expanding boobs I feel totally normal. I had cramps during week 5 but nothing this week and it has started to worry me. Everyone over the August DD thread (you should come on over if you're not on it already!) is suffering from ms loads. I kind of want to get Ms so I stop eating so much, I've already put on weight . I'm having a private early scan tomorrow and so nervous that there will be nothing there and I have imagined the whole thing!

I asked the same around the same time. At 8 weeks I was hospitalised with hyperemisis and was in and out for 2 months. This happened in both pg. don't speak too soon!

Congrats :) only some people have symptoms that early on, the majority of people getting symptoms at 8 weeks as that's when there's a much higher level of hcg to affect you! I hope for your case your a 'lucky one' but I wouldn't get too confident in that just yet! X

I'm 27 weeks today. Have never felt sick. Had sore boobs in the first trimester, but I get that in the run-up to my period anyway. I've had the odd little bit of heartburn here and there recently, but physically I've been incredibly lucky. Maybe you will be lucky too!

I assume people who have concealed pregnancies have few symptoms. Have you seen I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant on cable?

Yes, I think if I'd have had irregular periods I could easily have had a concealed pregnancy up until my bump popped out at 6.5 months. The only symptom I had was no periods but I know people who have very irregular periods. Even the baby's movements could have been put down to wind if I hadn't been specifically looking out for them.

I haven't ever seen 'I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant' but had come across it whilst channel surfing on occasion and thought, "how the hell could you NOT know!?"...guess I have a bit more sympathy now! I've made the mistake of reading shit on Google (I know...) and have now convinced myself I had a chemical pregnancy and now there's nothing there. I think I'll try the midwife AGAIN tomorrow!

I'm 39 weeks and never had ANY symptoms my whole pregnancy apart from a bit of heartburn these last few weeks. Embrace it!!!

That scared me too when I was in early pregnancy but yes it's normal for some people :) I didn't really experience anything and still to this day (14 weeks 2 days pregnant) I've not experienced morning sickness.

Only symptoms I really started to have different was from week 8 or so I started going off lots of different food.

I had an absolute breeze through the first trimester, no nausea, sickness, cravings, aversions. I was tired, and my boobs were a bit sensitive, but that was it.

The second and third tris were fairly easy too.
