12 week wait - anybody else stupidly anxious about their pregnancy

I am 7 weeks pregnant with no. 3. I had some very light spotting at cramping at 5 weeks and went for a scan which showed a sac. Earlier this week I went for a scan and I saw and heard the baby's heartbeat - I was amazed you could hear it so early on.

The thing is, I am so anxious about the viability of this pregnancy. I felt sick as a dog for the first two weeks. Then since Monday (when I had the scan) I have felt ok just incredibly tired with a foul taste in my mouth and very ratty. I moaned when sick all the time and now that I am not I feel worried (no pleaseing me ).

Is it normal to have varying MS symptoms?

Hi, yes i agree, I am 8+3 weeks with no.3 too and I too have found this one the most worrying of all. I don't know why but I just can't get it out of my head. 12 weeks is such a long time to wait to see if all is ok. My MS is very varying, some days I feel right as rain and others I can bearly open my eyes for tiredness and feeling so sick. Didn't have any ms or tiredness with DS or DD so it makes me think something is not right.

Why do we worry so much it really is silly as we can't change anything?

I hope all goes well for you dejags, sorry was meant to put that with the other message. Dizzy moments happen often at the moment! lol

I am soooo in touch with these emotions. This is only my second pg, but the first ended in a missed mc, so I am totally paranoid if my symptoms seem to ease or disappear.

Have only started getting odd attacks of ms this week - but am really happy when they happen as they reassure me I'm still pg. How bizarre is that!

Generally have the crappy taste in mouth though. Some describe it as a metalic taste. I think it's just a wierd taste, but that gives me a little reassurance.

Will probably be insane by 12 weeks!!!

Count yourselves lucky, ladies, I am 6 weeks pg with no 3 (but will prob mc so not at all excited) but am not even bothering to go to gp/midwife for a while as in plymouth (largest hospital for absolutely miles btw) you get the heartbeat checked by mw at 13 weeks and a scan at 20 weeks - yes 20! Apparently we are now only place left in country not doing scans at 12 weeks, and guess what, with a £25m nhs deficit it ain't going to be starting soon! Enjoy your 12 week scans and i hope the symptoms keep reassuring you in the meantime.

Thanks all.

Makes me feel a little better. I think it's probably got to do with the statistics that one in three pregnancies end in miscarriage.

This is my third one.

I'd be worried if I wasn't worried.
