Early pg worries / paranoia

Hi,

Sorry to go over old ground here but I'm really worried that at 9.5 weeks I have no pg symptoms and am convinced I've had MMC.

I never had any sickness or nausea at all but had fatigue / sensitive nipples till a couple of days ago but now that seems to have gone. (I'm sorry for complaining, I know this might just make me fortunate).

I don't suffer any symptoms at all with AF either, never have, does this make any difference to a pregnancy?

I have first scan in 3 wks but as I've convinced myself there's something wrong (and admittedly I'm a worrier) I'd rather know about it sooner than later...

Would a pregnancy test put my mind at rest, would that work?

Sorry for going on and hope I don't sound flippant in the face of people with much more significant problems and concerns.

Thanks, AD

Have you not already done a pregnancy test?

The only thing I would say that as you get 'more pregnant' the hormones that show up in a pg test start to decrease, so you could potentially do a test at 8 months pg and get a negative result!

Try not to worry, I know it's easy to say, just enjoy the fact you're not being/feeling sick and save up your worries/queries for when you see your MW.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I am also 9wks pg and have virtually no symptoms, bit more fatigued than usual (but work's busy so could be that) and my nipples are a bit sore but not constantly.

I have had two early scans and the baby is fine and happy, strong heartbeat etc and everything's progressing as expected.

I think we may just be the lucky ones and even if you were vomitting every day and having strange cravings, you'd still find something to worry about. It's a requirement of early pregnancy.

Wishing you lots of luck for a continued healthy and happy pregnancy.

I wouldn't worry too much. I think a lot of ladies go through a phase of not feeling pregnant. I remember waking up one saturday feeling stragely un-pregnant. Everything was fine. I've had paranoia throughout my pregnancy (I'm 27 weeks tomorrow ) so all I can say is try to relax and enjoy it. x

Hi annady,
I felt exactly the same with ds, when I went for my scan I was waiting for the midwife to say there was nothing there, infact it was a recurring nightmare for me before my scan! When I lay on the table, I was looking at the screen waiting to see nothing and this little baby bean popped up on the screen - it actually looked like a baby! The most amazing feeling in the world.
I had no symptoms through my pregnancy and I had a really easy birth, so hopefully you'll be the same. Try not to worry it is totally normal. Congratulations! xx
