Morning Sickness STARTING at 12 weeks?!

What's that all about?!

I've had nausea from 5-12 weeks but no actual sickness, then was sick upon waking yesterday and again this morning! Urgh. Is that normal?

I've started suffering from acid reflux, so i guess that isn't helping either.

Anyone else started suffering so late?

Yes - me!

I remember not feeling pregnant at all when I had my first scan , in fact I thought there would be no baby there and it was all a huge mistake ha ha

I had no sickness until just after 12 weeks and it lasted for about a month. Everything used to make me feel sick , shampoo, shower gel , looking at my computer , the commute into work ......everything.

I don't think it's particularly late tbh my dsil had morning sickness right up to the birth of my niece :-(

Good luck with your pregnancy it's such an exciting time x

Is anyone finding that they're sick after eating certain foods? I'm sick anyway but when I eat shreddies or drink hot chocolate i seem to projectile vomit everywhere. Does anyone know the reason for this ? Xx

This happened to me in my first pregnancy. I thought I'd got away with it then at 12 weeks the morning all day sickness hit me with a vengeance. If I remember correctly, it eased off at about 18 weeks, but didn't stop completely until 20 weeks. After that I felt amazing right until the birth.

Congratulations on your pregnancy, by the way.

Don't say that! I've had no sick so far, slightly queasy for the last two weeks but that's it and its wearing off now!

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 11/12/2014 18:20

OP I had a little boy x

I've just turned 12 weeks and 5 days and I've done nothing but spew all week. I will be eating away and then it will just come STRAIGHT back up. Been struggling with cold water too, it's like it sets it off and makes me sick. I have a urine infection too, so not sure if its being pregnant or the urine infection

ejmay90 · 24/10/2019 15:03

@Batman867 i'm 13+4 and i started throwing up not long after 12 weeks but i had a urine infection also and was on amoxicillin which can make you sick.
Are you on antibiotics for the infection? as could also be that

LolaLollypop · 24/10/2019 15:25

I had 4 days of absolute hell when I hit 13 weeks despite having a pretty easy first trimester! Projectile vomited and literally couldn't move without feeling so sick. Thankfully it passed after that and I got back to having an easy pregnancy.
Any woman who has that for longer than a few days has my absolute sympathy, its the pits!!

Batman867 · 24/10/2019 16:45

@ejmay90 yes I am on Nitrofurantonin (yellow tablet) so could be that too I guess. Is it common to have urine infections at this time? This is my second infection grrr

Batman867 · 24/10/2019 16:46

@LolaLollypop totally agree I've had friends sick all the way through, I have no idea how they cope!!!

ejmay90 · 24/10/2019 16:50

@batman867 could be a reason too then. Do you just have a weeks course?
I think they are common during pregnancy. I then got thrush off the back off the antibiotics :(
I have had two infections too, so not unusual. Just annoying lol
