Nuchal scan result - please share yours

I had my combined test on Monday and I'm now anxiously waiting for the results. I'm 38 and have had lots of problems in the past.
My nuchal measurement was 1.9mm at 12 weeks 3 days which does seem high compared to other results I've seen although it is apparently normal.
Does anyone want to share their results along with age and eventual risk.

Hi, I've recently had my test. Age 39, nuchal measurement 1.7mm and risk was 2650.

I was anxious waiting for the result and was relieved when it said low-risk.

I'm 27 ... my measurement was 2 which they said was normal and when the final risk result came through it was 1:100,000

Mine was 1.7 and risk 1 in 639 at 11wks 5 days and I'm 38. My hospital does harmony for anyone with a risk above 1 in 1500. My harmony results were less than 1:10,000

Mine was 3.6 with a risk of 1:4. Had further tests and all fine. Apparently some babies just have a higher result!

I was nearly 27 when I had mine at 13+6 and measurement was 1.4mm and came back at 1 in 81403

I'm 33, mine was 1.3mm and I was given a 1 in 157 risk. Harmony test revealed that all is fine. Good luck!

I am 32, nuchal fold was 3.4 which was raised no other risk markers but result came back as I in 89 risk for Down Syndrome... had Harmony test and everything is fine no problems detected with bubs, as September said some babies just come back with a higher risk result.

I am 27 and my nuchal test was 1.5 mm and I came back as a 1 in 50,000. I'm sure all will be fine :)

I remember the anxiety waiting for our result, a few weeks ago! It's nerve-shredding.

It's easily said, but don't worry about the nuchal measurement or compare it to others'. The paperwork from the hospital will say on it that the nuchal measurement is not to be used on its own and can only give a reliable result when combined with the bloods.

Sadly this is one of those things that you just have to wait for . . .

The good news is that your risk of having a Down's baby is still absolutely miniscule, even at 38. Broadly it's about 1 in 200, so it only happens to 0.5% of pregnant women your age. Your risk of having a car accident in the next year, on the other hand, is 1 in 50. And I bet that doesn't seem very likely

I really hope it turns out well for you.

(FWIW, mine was 1.4 and less than 1 in 2000, and I'm 32 )

I just can't relax. They said they would call probably this week if I was high risk so I guess with every day that passes then no news is good news. His long did people's letters take to arrive?

Very similar situation to yours. I'm 38, nuchal measurement was 2mm at 12wks+3. Eventual result came back as 1:29,000 which felt pretty reassuring to me (am now 24 wks). My previous pregnancy had a nuchal measurement of 1.6 at 12wks and an eventual risk of 1:24,000, so higher risk than with the higher nuchal measurement.

I'm 29, nuchal test was 2.3mm and I had a result of 1:366.

I was given my letter at the end of my 12 week scan (the sonographer literally printed it for me), so I guess each trust does it differently I'm afraid!

I think they get back to you pretty quickly via the phone if it's high risk.

Our letter came about a week after the tests. It was very efficient.

It's horrible to think of, but they have to let you know very quickly if it's high-risk because they want to leave you the option to have invasive testing and then, if the news is bad and you choose it, to terminate.

There's a time limit on that, so they don't hang about.

The longer you wait for that phone call, the better the chances get

I'm 26, Nuchal fold 1.7mm, risk 1 in 626 because my hcg was around 4. Had Harmony test offered free by hospital as part of a trial and came back highly unlikely to be affected. Good luck.

Am 39, NT was 1.7 at same stage as yours but my risk is very high 1:40 not due to this but due to the blood test results that they do at the same time. My age alone ( they include months, weeks for accuracy) gave me a risk of 1:40. The NT was good as was 2.4 with my dc at same stage but bloods were ok that time.

We are not in an NHS hospital that is trialling Harmony so paid £550 for test,but they gave no answer - we were in the 5% group that gets no answer. Frustrating as lots of travel, cost and 2 week wait for no result. CVS/Amnio offered by hospital.

I was thinking about this today...Almost exactly a year ago I had my 12 wk scan aged 34, an average nuchal measurement but high hgc levels which put me at high risk (1:85). It was horrible to wait for my harmony test over Christmas and then the result which came ten days later. The test came back fine and my little boy will be 6 months at Christmas. It is strange to think that this little person who I was so worried about last year is here and part of our family.

I'm 32, scan at 13+2, 2.7mm, don't know my risk ratio other than its better than 1:150.

I worried myself sick over mine with DD1 three years ago.
I was 26 with nuchal measurement of 3.2mm at 13+4 weeks.
I was convinced there would be a problem and posted on here about it at the time. It came back as about 1:16000 and all was well, but I wish I hadn't let myself get so ill over it. Worsened by the fact that my bloods were messed up and had to rush in to have them done on the last possible day the test is valid.

DH's cousin had a similarly high measurement, and all was fine again, so I'm trying not to worry if my current pregnancy also has a high nuchal fold, having convinced myself there is some genetic factor at play with the measurements!

I'm 33 and the measurement was 1.5mm.. thats all I know, they said they would contact me if the blood results came back as high risk, and they didn't so all ok.

I was 35, nuchal fold was 2.3 and blood tests came back at 1:60. DS is now 11 weeks, happy & healthy.

My nuchal measurement was 1.4 at 11+6 which was fine but my bloods brought my result to 1 in 27.
Had a Nifty test and the revised odds came back as 1 in 87 million! I'm 35.
