I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this? With my first pregnancy I lost quite a lot of hair after the birth which I know is normal and didn't worry too much about it. It eventually settled down and returned to normal.
With this pregnancy I started losing an unusual amount of hair before 12 weeks. I was very worried about this and spoke to the doctor but he wasn't overly concerned and advised that it sometimes happens but isn't as common as in post-pregnancy. He didn't think thyroid issues were likely as I've never had an issue before and my early blood work didn't indicate any problems. I'm continuing to take my prenatal and added spatone a few weeks ago in case it had something to do with iron levels.
Now 6 weeks later and it's continuing. I had a scan at 16 weeks and was advised that everything is fine but as I'm still losing far more hair than is normal for me I'm getting more concerned. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm worried I'm going to be bald but more importantly I'm concerned there's something wrong with my hormone levels or other issue with the pregnancy.
