Hi ladies,

I am 8+4 weeks and have been spotting this morning at first it was a reddy brown and now it's just brown I have rung my midwife anyway who wants me to go for a internal scan this afternoon.

Im terrified but I also just wanted to know what I can expect from an internal scan?

swanny EPU is Early pregancy unit most maternity departments have them and they deal with this sort of situation for pregnancies under 16 weeks.

I know we were surprised. He kept repeating over and over that they can't rule out an ectopic. Said my stomach is soft still and to go back if I bleed or get any bad pains. Just want to know its ok, thinking I must be hardly pregnant if baby is ok to get blood of 837 xxx

The quickest way to find out and to not put you through agony is to just scan you straight away surley? Sorry you won't want to hear what should have been done ect but I really do hope you get a scan tkmorrow dx

Sorry hun, I got scanned when we got there. Defo not ectopic but lady said maybe only 4-5 weeks. Took bloods but not got them back (we're meant to phone me them) back in 2-3 weeks for another scan but we're reassured that what she could see is looking healthy xx
