I really don't think I'm going to be in a rush to get home but midwives kept saying other week that I can leave after 1 or 2 nights if everything's ok... Will they let me stay longer ?! Id also probably rather host visitors at hospital than home!
Of course I mihht change my mind when stuck on a maternity ward so just wanted some insights!

; nights but the first night up til the emcs was an induction. So in Fri lunchtime and emcs early hours of Saturday and out Wednesday evening. I could've gone home Monday (not earlier as high no) but had feeding probs and weight loss with DD.

; supposed to be 5. Also I was lucky as had side room which meant it was a bit less noisy but had to feed DD every 2 hours and a pump between it. I hope yours goes ok - stay as long as you feel is appropriate for you. I'd say 2 days is about right for most.

3 days
4 days
8 days

But all mine were under GA and I assume that takes a little longer to recover from? I certainly was a drugged mess for quite a while! Grin Mmm drugs.

The 8 days were because my DS3 was poorly so they let me stay.

4 nights after emcs first time around - but that was with complications of sepsis and massive pph so included 2 nights on itu for me and scbu for baby. 1 night for elcs second time - hated being in hospital both times and couldn't wait to get home! Elcs was so lovely to recover from in comparison to the first time around :-)
