Im 36 weeks pregnant and it looks like i am going to have to have a caeserian due to the fact my baby is breech. Today i had my caeserian date from the hospital, i know baby could still turn and i do hope he does but i cant help feeling that having a definate date takes the edge off the excitment of having a baby. Has this happened to anyone else, how did you feel.

teen01, have not been in your situation, but just thought I say that, just because your Baby is breech it doesn't mean that you have to have a cesaerian.
There are a fair few threads about on this issue, so, might be worth looking around for those!

As 3andnomore said, there are lots of threads on how to turn a breech baby and depending on where you live, they may still offer to deliver a breech baby vaginally. My MW said she'd be happy to do a home breech birth as long as everything was 'normal'. Best of luck, but do what you can now, I can understand why you feel the way you do.

use at as a way to totally prepare for your LO, one of the most scary things in this world is the unknown, so you can just relax a bit and prepare for after the birth - cook lots of yummy things and freeze them, as you wont be so mobile after your op.

Good Luck, and I hope your LO turns!
