Measurements

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and have just had my midwife appointment where my bump measured 26cm. I thought this was exactly right but then looked at my growth chart and it's plotted on the 90th centile!! I have a scan in a few weeks so I will be able to see if it's a big baby but was abit confused about measurements. Is it because I'm quite small?

As far as I remember you are 'supposed' to measure the cm for your weeks. As in 26cm at 26weeks. I may be wrong though.

I wouldn't worry though, measurements and scans are notoriously hit and miss

They personalise your growth chart so because you're small they'll expect you to come in slightly under 1cm per week. They don't take the father's size into account though so if he is big then that should explain it. Otherwise the tape measure is notoriously inaccurate as said above.

That makes sense and I guessed it would be something like that!! I'm not overly worried was just curious really. Thank you for your replies! X
