So after weeks of getting bfp on hpt and bfn with Dr's tests, today I will finally find out with a scan! Nervous and excited at the same time

Back from the scan... No baby :-( I'm so confused. The Dr got negative but sent me for a scan as she wasn't sure. I've had multiple positives, very clear positives. I've had no bleed. I'm confused and a bit sad but I guess I'm sad over something that never existed

Didyouevah · 07/11/2014 17:38

I'm really sorry for you. How sad.

Why was the doctor testing? Mine never did. Just had booking in appointment with the midwife but she never re tested.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 07/11/2014 17:41

I'm sorry op

Chantelle89 · 07/11/2014 18:06

It's just something my Dr's do. Just a confirmation. They did it with my last 2

Didyouevah · 07/11/2014 19:12

I wonder why my surgery don't?

I have to say I'm filled with doubt that a couple of lines on a stick mean I enter a system whereby I have my exemption certificate for medical prescriptions Etc but no one actually KNOWS for sure there's a baby in there. Weird.

DragonsDontFly · 07/11/2014 19:38

How far did you expect to be? Are you still testing positive? If so, could it just be too early to see anything on a scan? Have you had bloods done?

Chantelle89 · 07/11/2014 23:12

Had bloods done. Had it all done. I'm 22 days later but got a positive test about 5 weeks ago. All early tests, first response were positive but not dipsticks. It's all very confusing, I got my first positive on the implant. Had it removed and still got positives. I'm going to wait to see if my next period arrives, if not ill test again

AMillionNameChangesLater · 09/11/2014 16:23

Sorry, you got a positive on the implant?

I'm on the implant and feeling pregnant, but I've been telling myself it isn't possible because of the implant. Crap. Will have to check.

Did the Dr give you any advise Chantelle?

Chantelle89 · 11/11/2014 11:09

Yeah I got a positve on the implant. Which I showed the doctor, it was faint but there and the doctor agreed and she made me an appointment to have it removed. I got about 6 positive tests then the Dr did bloods twice but there was no rise in hormone so she sent me for a scan. But no baby!! And I'm nearly 4 weeks late now. I have to go see the Dr tomorrow

AMillionNameChangesLater · 11/11/2014 11:54

Oh Chantelle I'm sorry it's all so confusing.

Pantstootight · 11/11/2014 13:52

I'm sorry to hear your news.
I'm wondering if you might have what happened to me. Blighted ovum.
I had a bfp with a hpt, symptoms of extremely tender/painful breasts and tiredness.
I went for a scan around 6 weeks and it showed an empty sac. Returned 1 week later for another scan to see if their was an embryo, and sadly there wasn't, yet the sac had grown in size. The week inbetween scans I had blood tests to check the Hg levels, they showed a pregnancy of 5/6 weeks then started to decrease.
A few days later I started bleeding.

Chantelle89 · 11/11/2014 14:30

Thanks for all of your concerns. My scan showed nothing at all. I'm yet to have a bleed but definitely not pregnant. So just keep trying I suppose. It will happen when it's meant to i feel more confused than anything at the moment. Hopefully the doctor will be able to shine some light on to it and give me an explanation
