EPU or not EPU

Hiya,

I've been having bad diarrhoea (apologies for TMI but it's better than what I'm dealing with, trust me) for approx 24 hours. Should I call/go to the EPU (I'm at work now and it's about 20 mins walk from my office)? I am otherwise fine in myself, not throwing up and managing to drink a reasonable amount. About 12 weeks pg (scan tomorrow).

Hmm, I wouldn't. Diarrhoea shouldn't affect the baby as long as you don't get dehydrated and isn't a sign of miscarriage or ectopic... and anyway you have your scan tomorrow. EPU couldn't prescribe you anything for the diarrhoea, you'd need GP for that.

More important that you rest and take care of yourself than sit in a hospital waiting room (and also you might pass it on to others...). Hope it gets better soon!
