Discharge help?? (sorry if TMI!)

OK - I will apologise in advance for TMI here!!

A few days ago I thought I had a UTI - was dying for the loo - even straight after going I would feel heavy, and needing to go. Drank a ton of water and cranberry juice for two days and all seemed to be fine and issues went.

Then since yesterday I've had a lot more discharge than usual, it's quite yellow and pretty thick, so obviously something not right down there!!

I've not got any thrush-like itching, or burning, or anything that feels wrong... just a ton of discharge, that makes me need to change a panty liner :/

I have my 28w midwife appointment tonight. Will she be able to investigate it? I.E urine and can she take a swab? Want to warn my OH if the midwife is going to be messing with my downstairs region as he probably won't want to be around! lol. OR would she just say it's something I need to see a doc about?

Thanks!

The test on urine midwives do is only for protein eg preeclampsia so you'd need to take yourself to the doctors for a full urine sample test but it sounds like normal pregnancy to me! Just keep a pad on - I've been wearing them daily since 25 weeks because of increased discharge.

I currently have a UTI an have been put on antibiotics, they discovered this at my booking in appointment as apparently it is the norm to test once finding out pregnant now!!! I am currently experiencing discharge, only when i wipe and it has a reddish tint to it.

I am booked in for an early pregnancy scan tomorrow morning to check all is ok but the discharge is more mucas than blood.

I know discharge at your stage of pregnancy is quite the norm, i had it with my previous 2 from about your stage. I am only 8 weeks tomorrow so not quite at your lovely stage yet.

Hope all goes well and i am sure they would let your OH leave the room if they were going to do any swabs lol.

I thought discharge was quite normal but it's the colour that bothers me, it's very yellow! like I've been eating highlighter pens! lol :)

When she did a urine sample last time she did ask me if I had any problems i.e. stinging, burning..etc so I presumed they just did the same stick test as a doctor and might spot something?

lol yes I'm sure they'll direct him out of the room if he wants, he's just not good with medical stuff so I was going to warn him if a fanny scraping was going to be part of tonight's proceedings! (I know.. I'm vulgar ;) )

Op thrush can apparently manifest with no itching so deffo get a swab done.

But.... Are you taking Pregncare? Just because the common wisdom of the interwebs suggests it can turn ordinary discharge bright yellow, and it certainly seems to have done so for me!
