Baby Number 3 at 40

Just that really, just discovered expecting number 3 which, I'll be honest, after I had DD 5 years ago and then splitting and divorcing from DC dad, I thought my baby days were over Shock

So, I'll be 41 when DC3 arrives, will I really struggle? My new partner is younger than me and DD is 5 and DS 9 but I work full time in City and never seem to have time for myself now.

Still trying to get my head round this, seems very surreal but we are happy.

Please reassure me I can do this!!

I had ds3 at 41, similar age gaps with other DC.
It wasn't being 41 which was a struggle, it was having 3 DC, working, and not massive support from dh, who had his own issues at the time.
The hardest thing was a few years later, managing the needs of a toddler and older children, just in terms of logistics - eg cubs\ scouts finishing after youngest' s bedtime.
But I think your question was more about your age, and that really wasn't a big problem for me. Slightly lesss energetic than I was with younger 2, but more patient, more confident in my abilities as a parent.
Good luck !

Thank you, I guess the logistics I'll worry about at the time. My DP and DC will be supportive, I know that.

For now I'm just worried about the financial side of it, strapped for cash as it is Confused
