Baby Sweepstake... please help settle a domestic debate!

We have started a baby sweepstake with family members and close friends who have listed Sex, Date and Weight.

In my experience of doing sweepstakes, the Sex always comes first in determining the winner - so Anyone who guesses the sex wrong is out, and then it is down to who got the closest date with correct sex.

My husband is adamant it should be the closest date that determines the winner, even if the sex is wrong.

What do you think??

I would say sex comes first too... so it would be sex, date and weight in that order.

No way should sex beat the others!

Sex 1 in 2 chance of being right
Date 1 in 35 chance of bring right (full term being 37-42 weeks) I know dates closer to due date are more likely but it's never 1 in 2 so much harder to predict than gender.
Weight - assuming between 6lb and 10lb then that's 65 possible weights so getting that right is also way trickier.

Basically "sex correct, weight and date wrong" should never trump "sex wrong, weight and date right or nearly right"

the way I would do it would be people place their bets and those who get the sex wrong are instantly eliminated. then you look at the people who guessed the correct date (or who are closest to the correct date), anyone who guesses the correct gender but wrong date is then eliminated. then you look at weight, and whoever guessed sex and date correctly and who guessed closest to actual weight is the winner.
