Baby's first movements

When did second time mums feel the first flutters?? I'm getting really worried, I've hit 15 weeks and no flutters yet, I distinctly remember feeling little butterfly's at 13 weeks during my first pregnancy (or am I imagining it??). I had my dating scan and the baby seemed fine, not as active as dd was but then on closer examination baby's thumb was in mouth so may have been napping.... Help please someone I'm getting quietly worked up here....

think you're imagining it! I felt ds1 at 20 weeks and ds2 a little earlier (about 18 weeks I think).

fuzzywuzzy - 13wks seems incredibly early to feel movement, especially in a 1st pregnancy! I was 17wks with ds when I felt the flutters..... the MW told me that anytime between 16-22wks in normal. I felt movements this time around at about 14wks, but even then it was so sporadic and light that I only felt it when I sat still for ages. They weren't really regular and noticable until about 18wks.

I think it sounds perfectly normal and as long as the scan showed everything was fine then don't worry. The position of the placenta can effect how early you feel movements too.

Thank-you thank-you. The books I'm madly re-reading say the same, but my sister is insisting she felt flutters from pretty early on, I dunno, my stomach was once really toned so maybe that's why I thought I must have felt dd so early,. I'll try not to panic, it's horrible that my next appointment re; pregnancy is at 20 weeks, and I don't want to start calling the mw and being a nuisance....

Fuzz, I didn't feel anything until I was 21 weeks 6 days, but then it is my first baby. Since then baby has been kicking up a storm.

Fuzzy - i suspect that worry is affecting your memory!!!! i felt movement at about 16 or 17 weeks on first preg and was told that was pretty unusual and only because i was quite thin (about 8ish stone by that stage). Please try not to worry. ( I know, easier said than done............)
