Hi,
I'm 24 weeks and keep getting a bad aching pain on my back, it's just under my bra strap, mostly on the right hand side but does affect the left some days. I get it sitting down at work so thought it was my chair but I also get it on weekends when I'm out and about walking the dog etc. It's so uncomfortable and doesn't seem to stop until I lie in bed flat on my back, which is bad for the baby.
I've looked at some pain relief gels, but they say not to use whilst pregnant and I don't really want to take paracetamol. I've tried stretches throughout the day but the aching just doesn't stop.
Does anyone know of anything else that I can try?
Thanks!

I had the same problem at about the same stage in pregnancy. I was given a heated cushion by my mum that you put in the microwave and it worked wonders. I would use it every time I drove in the car or was sat at my desk at work. I'm now 38 weeks and since finishing work my back is so much better. I don't think sitting at a computer or in a car for long periods helps.

aww... :-(
yes sitting for long period of time does this. what i found relief in was a nice shower/bath. even when tired. and lying down whenever possible. take short breaks when possible take a little stroll, might help.

I get the exact same pain, in the exact place by the end of the day/or after quite a lot of walking it's worse. I'm constantly arching my back for relief. Nothing really eases it. MW or Docs can't help either. Seems like we have to just grit our teeth n suffer I'm afraid. :(
