Just wondered if anyone has been through anything similar or could provide some theories or just info on this.
Last period was 21st August, but cycles were irregular and up to 41 day cycles. Positive test on 3rd October which going by due date calculator I am 10 weeks pregnant.
Two weeks ago started having minimal brown spotting but only tiny specs when I wiped.
After 48 hours of this was referred to EPU for scan and told only found a pregnancy sack measuring 5ish weeks and no yolk sack or embryo. Was devastated. Told to come back after 10 days for another scan but be prepared for a natural miscarriage at home.
Nothing happened, no pain, no more spotting.
Went for internal rescan today and they found a 3/4 week pregnancy sack, yolk and an embryo but no heart beat. I understand it's to early to pick up a heart best but how when I saw the screen and there was nothing in the pregnancy sack two weeks ago is there now a baby?
Could it have been twins or two separate pregnancies, or still is this pregnancy not growing properly.
I am booked in for another scan at epu next week to see f there has been any more significant growth.
I understand I will have to just wait and see it's just so frustrating. I've been preparing myself the last two weeks to loose my baby now I am in limbo.
Only had one previous pregnancy with no complications what so ever!
Any thoughts would be comforting just to think options through to keep me going another week.
