Just seeing if you lovely ladies can make me feel any better!
Found out a couple weeks ago I'm pregnant, I'm now 7 weeks and feeling rather sicky alot of the time (especially when hungry) haven't actually been sick.
Anyway- I've completely gone off vegetables! And I'm only really eating bread, cereal and crackers :( I just don't fancy alot else.
Anyone else having the same trouble? I feel guilty as meant to be eating really healthy but I just can't stomach it!

I'm 7 weeks too and feeling exactly the same and was even worse when I was expecting DD! My experience for the first trimester is eat whatever you can to get through and take a multivit for some goodness!

Going through exactly the same, really struggling to eat and what I can stomach is always really unhealthy! Completely gone off my usual healthy diet. I try to down an innocent smoothie at least once a day though so that baby and I at least get some goodness!!

Don't worry too much about it. Just what you can. Make sure to take an antenatal supplement, so you get vitamins and things. The foetus will take whatever it needs from you. My GP told me not to worry too much about food and just to eat what I could.

*eat. Just eat what you can.

I was in exactly the same position a few weeks ago. I just ate what I could and I finally feel like I'm picking up a bit (although I am having a lasagne ready meal for lunch Blush).

I went off all vegetables and meat in the first tri! Now I am eating a bit more normally and trying to make the most of it. Just eat what you can when you can!

I'm 19 wks now, but was exactly the same, went off all veg except potatoes. Not the best start to what I intended would be a very healthy pregnancy!

I think innocent smoothie is a great idea, especially as you can get some great mixes these days, some with one veg but the rest fruit, for example.

To be honest, I still struggle with veg, don't love it as much as pre-pregnancy, but hopefully I'll go back to normal after.

Good luck with the first trimester and beyond xx

I forgot to add, M&S do some good smoothies/ juices too with things like kale, asparagus and beetroot mixed with fruit which are really good and count as 2 of your 5 a day. If you can manage them (an acquired taste even when not pregnant) it's worth it, they're SO good for you and baby and they're only 3 bottles for £5 which is pretty good!

Ah thanks everyone! All your tips have been taken onboard! I'm definitely going to buy some smoothies after work!
I have been taking a pregnancy multivitamin but I'm sure that makes me feel sick too! Who knows! When is it that the baby feeds from the placenta and not the yolk sac? I never imagined I'd actually go off food! I've always eaten anything!
