Could do! how certain are you of dates? Are you overweight? Gestational diabetes causes big babies...

lucy5 · 02/10/2006 21:29

Pretty certain of dates, I am overweight but have been checked regularly for glucose etc.

it might mean that you've got a big baby or too much fluid or there again it might not mean that.
I measured big with DS1 - he was 2 weeks late and not quite 9lbs!

allhallows · 02/10/2006 22:06

I was huge for ds. Like I was carrying triplets! Too much amniotic fluid. Anyway, he was delivered by c-section at 36 weeks (!) because ob/gyn overestimated his size. (ds fine, btw)

i measured big from 24 wks but dates were perfect. i went early - just 12 days tho'

Lua · 02/10/2006 22:24

I did meassure bigger for a couple of visits - turn out I had GD!
Baby did not come early though...
sorry!
Hope it means better things to you!

Thanks all, I'm being scanned every 4 weeks, now every two weeks because of blood pressure problems. They are testing blood and wee all the blooming time and everything is coming back normal. So perhaps i'm just having a whopper!
