Getting the motivation to exercise

Is anyone else struggling to exercise? I am pretty unfit and have had vomiting and nausea pretty badly too. At the moment I'm feeling exhausted and just want to sleep and be comfy. Am 23+6 now. But I need to do something and want to go swimming but imagine just falling asleep in the pool.

Any tips on starting exercise, particularly if you weren't active before?

Swimming is a good call! It is quite an effort to get yourself there, but if you get organised and have a regular swimming bag ready that helps. I find that I feel absolutely normal in the water, don't feel pregnant at all, the weight is lifted off! Don't push yourself too hard if you haven't been too active before, but some exercise during pregnancy is healthy. You could potentially look into an aquanatal class at the gym which could be both motivating and appropriate??

I find I have to go during the day, I'm 19 weeks now and at first I would fall asleep when I got back. Now I have a coffee and snack as soon as I finish and I try not to do too much.

My circulation feels better, not so sluggish in the evening I think as a result Halloween Grin

Start with really easy stretching that just feels good on your body. I go to pilates classes that consists of me and a bunch of 60+ ladies! It's not too demanding and all the stretching feels like heaven so I actually go twice a week.

Im doing pregnancy yoga, but i think more important for me has been making sure I get up and go out for a walk on my lunch break- helps that I have a really nice park to walk around... Admittedly i don't do it every day, but I definitely feel better for it when I do, and it doesn't take too much effort (no changing of clothes or going out of my way!)
